Abigael Mahony

Abigael Mahony was previously the Chief of Staff for a city of Miami commissioner. In this role, she managed public and intergovernmental relations, including communications strategy, media relations, community outreach and constituent services. Before this, Abigael was unanimously confirmed and appointed by the city of Miami Commission as the Executive Director of the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID). Abigael has worked with children and adolescents in the foster care system in New York City as a caseworker, family team conference facilitator, and quality improvement specialist. Abigael earned her B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University, and her M.A. in Disaster Management from Florida International University. Abigael served as co-chair of the city of Miami LGBTQ Advisory Board from 2019-2022.
