Anneka Kumli worked for then-Governor, now U.S. Senator, John Hickenlooper of Colorado serving in several capacities on both the official side as well as his reelection campaign and subsequent inauguration. She worked in executive search for the tech sector, helping place VP, C-suite, and board appointments for companies like Spotify, Tesco, and Teachers Pay Teachers.
Anneka spent several years as a teacher in New York City where she used multiple kinds of student-facing ed-tech to help students succeed and grow. In 2020, she co-founded and led Masks with Mission, a not-for-profit organization focused in getting machine washable, reusable "Vote" face masks out to communities hit hardest by Covid-19 and voter suppression efforts prior to the 2020 presidential election.
Most recently, Anneka completed her M.A. in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. While at Harvard she focused on communication, narrative, and constituent relations as well as media and misinformation working under Former Sec. of Defense, the late Ash Carter, as well as former Managing Editor of Time Magazine, Nancy Gibbs, and Senior Lecturer Marshall Ganz. She additionally holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.
